real. was founded in 1995 by owners Richard Proctor
& Clare Weatherall, who have both worked in magazines since the mid ‘80s.

Clare’s career includes editorial roles in women’s magazines, most notably as editor of Period Living
for emap, and 25 Beautiful Homes for IPC.

Richard’s experience spans media sales, marketing and publishing, including stints at The Guardian, She, and as ad director of Hello!
